These high steppers participated in a fad dance class taught by Bonnie Bakko, a physical education teacher. I have no clue what this dance is, but I do remember line dancing to Michael Jacksonโ€™s โ€œRockinโ€™ Robin.โ€

What a difference a few days makesโ€”when it comes to spring weather. These two photos were taken from about the same vantage pointโ€”between Pelican Drug and the Pelican post office. Work was progressing ahead of scheduleโ€”until the rains hit, as evidenced by the โ€œlakeโ€ that filled the reconstruction siteโ€”with ground saturated and standing water at various locations; week three of the project started quietly on Monday, April 29, with hardly any workers on site or heavy equipment moving.
