Notice of Public Hearing Facilities Plan for Water and Wastewater System Improvements City of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota

Notice is hereby given that the city council of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota will be holding a Public Hearing at their regularly scheduled council meeting in the city council chambers in the Pelican Rapids City Hall located at 315 North Broadway at or about 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 to discuss a Facilities Plan for water distribution and wastewater collection system improvements within the areas listed below:

• 3rd Street NW between 6th Avenue and 1st Avenue (Highway 108 West)
• 2nd Street NW between 5th Avenue and 1st Avenue (Highway 108 West)
• 1st Street NW between 7th Avenue and 1st Avenue (Highway 108 West)
• 1st Street NE between 2nd Avenue and 1st Avenue
• 3rd Street NE between 3rd Avenue and 2nd Avenue
• 1st Street SE between 1st Avenue and 5th Avenue
• 2nd Street SE between 1st Avenue and 6th Avenue
• 3rd Street SE between 1st Avenue and 6th Avenue
• 4th Street SE between East Mill Avenue (Highway 108 East) and 4th Avenue
• Maplewood Drive between 6th Avenue and 8th Avenue
• 5th Avenue NW between 2nd Street and 1st Street
• 4 ½ Avenue NW between 2nd Street and 1st Street
• 4th Avenue NW between 2nd Street and Broadway (Highway 59)
• 3rd Avenue NW between 2nd Street and Broadway (Highway 59)
• 2nd Avenue NW between 3rd Street and 2nd Street
• 3rd Avenue NE between Broadway (Highway 59) and 3rd Street
• 2nd Avenue NE between Broadway (Highway 59) and 3rd Street
• 1st Avenue NE between Broadway (Highway 59) and 1st Street

This Public Hearing is required per Minnesota Administrative Rules 7077.0272 as the City is seeking funding from the Minnesota Public Facilities Authority for improvements to the City’s water and wastewater systems.  Information on alternatives considered, proposed improvements, proposed improvement areas, and estimated utility service charges will be discussed at the Public Hearing.
