Pelican Fest parade was a colorful trek through town

He’s been described as “the dad” of Pelican Rapids. Trevor Steeves has kept the buildings and grounds at the Pelican Rapids schools in shape for decades—being a friendly face to a couple generations of students. 
To top it off, he was a fireman and fire chief for 30 years, working to keep kids—and everybody—safe.  
That’s why the Pelican Fest committee gave “Dad” Trevor Steeves the honored spot of Grand Marshal in the parade July 12.  
Trevor waved to the crowd from Ben Woessner’s familiar Oldsmobile convertible.
