An accomplished athlete, both as a varsity runner and long jumperโ€”and a Minnesota state-recognized Special Olympics athleteโ€”Ryan Pourrier holds high his Pelican Rapids Hall of Fame plaque.

Among many accomplishments, He represented Minnesota at the national SO meet in 2001.

โ€œRyan always exemplified the best in dedication, respect, commitment, and mutual support for other athletes,โ€ wrote Coach Wayne Woolever in his nomination of Pourrier.
