Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota will meet in the Fine Arts Auditorium within the Pelican Rapids High School located at 310 South Broadway, Pelican Rapids, MN 56572 at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, February 26, 2024 to consider the making of Improvements to the following areas:

• Broadway (Trunk Highway 59) from a point approximately 200 feet south of 5th Avenue South to a point approximately 2,000 feet northeast of County State Aid Highway No. 9

• County State Aid Highway 9 from Broadway (Trunk Highway 59) to a point approximately 1,000 feet north of Broadway (Trunk Highway 59)

• 1st Avenue NW (Trunk Highway 108) from a point approximately 150 feet west of 9th Street NW to Broadway (Trunk Highway 59)

• 1st Avenue NE from Broadway (Trunk Highway 59) to a point approximately 200 feet east of Broadway (Trunk Highway 59)

• West Mill Avenue (County State Aid Highway 96) from a point approximately 200 feet west of Broadway (Trunk Highway 59) to Broadway (Trunk Highway 59)

• East Mill Avenue (Trunk Highway 108) from Broadway (Trunk Highway 59) to a point approximately 100 feet east of Anne Lane

by making improvements to the sanitary sewer collection system, water distribution system, storm sewer collection system, street, curb and gutter, sidewalk and/or multiuse paths, retaining walls, boulevards, and adjoining driveways pursuant to Minn. Stat. §§ 429.011 to 429.111. The area proposed to be assessed for such improvement includes parcels abutting and/or benefitting from the proposed improvements. The estimated City cost of the improvement is $9,000,000. A reasonable estimate of the impact of the assessment will be available at the hearing. Such persons as desire to be heard with reference to the proposed improvement will be heard at this meeting.
