Grunewald served as Erhard’s mayor from 1986 to 1994 and again from 1998 to 2006. After sixteen years as mayor of a small town, he’s seen a thing or two. “I’d have to break up a few fights now and then. I’d get called in or hear something on the scanner,” said Grunewald. “My standard line was that if you want to fight, you have to go through me first.
