Edgar Galvan, director of Minneapolis- based Ballet Folklorico Mexico Azteca, takes the stage during the International Friendship Festival on June 20. Galvan, whose non-profit was forced to cancel its 17th-anniversary celebration in May due to the climate surrounding immigration enforcement in the Twin Cities, was visibly moved by the opportunity to bring his troupe to Pelican Rapids. "La cultura cura," he told the crowd — culture heals.
