CITY OF PELICAN RAPIDS, MINNESOTANOTICE OF FILING FOR CITY OFFICES

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the filing period for candidates seeking elective office in the City of Pelican Rapids for the regular City Election to be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, will open and close as follows:

FILING OPENS: Tuesday, July 14, 2026

FILING CLOSES: Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

The following offices are to be filled at the City Election:

MAYOR: One (1) position for a term of two (2) years. (Currently held by Brent E. Frazier)

COUNCIL MEMBER: Two (2) positions for a term of four (4) years each. (Currently held by Curt Markgraf and Steve Strand)

FILING PROCEDURES: Affidavits of Candidacy may be filed with the City Clerk at City Hall, 315 N Broadway, Pelican Rapids, MN. A filing fee of $2.00 is required at the time of filing.

OFFICE HOURS:

Monday through Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Note: On the final day of filing (July 28), the office will remain open until 5:00 p.m.
